Description
The ha-ha bounding the east and south sides of the garden of the former Lathom House is likely from the early to mid 18th century, and may have been reduced at its west end. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble. The structure runs eastward from a point roughly aligned with the north-south axis of the former house, extending almost straight for about 100 meters before curving northward for slightly more than a quarter of a circle. It terminates north of the east-west axis of the house and is generally about 2 meters deep.
