Description

The garden wall, dating from around 1730 and slightly altered, is likely the work of Giacomo Leoni. Constructed from sandstone ashlar, it is a low wall that connects to the north-east corner of the west wing of the former Lathom House. The wall was previously linked at its east end to the former east wing but is now interrupted in the center. It features low piers, a moulded cornice, and slightly rounded coping, with quadrants at both ends and ramps leading up to these.
