Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of handmade brown brick sitting on a sandstone rubble base, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has a transitional double-depth two-unit plan with a rear outshut that has a catslide roof. It stands two low storeys high and features two windows. The doorway is offset to the left and has a small early 20th-century wooden porch. There are three-light sliding sash windows on both floors; the ground floor windows are segmental-headed and all have glazing bars. The cottage has gable chimneys. At the rear, there is a very low single storey with three small two-light sliding sash windows, all with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to contain features of interest.
