Description
Beacon View is a farmhouse, now a house, dated 1713 at the first floor. It has been extended and altered over time. The building is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. It has a transitional double-depth two-unit plan and stands two low storeys high with two almost symmetrical windows. The façade includes a first-floor band and gabled half-dormers. The doorway is offset to the right and has a thin lintel with a board door. The ground floor has enlarged square windows, while the first floor features vertical-rectangular windows. Above the door, there is a square datestone with raised lettering that reads: T/E H/1713. A ridge chimney is located in the center of the roof, which slopes down to a single storey at the rear.
