5/88 Rowley Fold Farmhouse 11.11.1966 (Formerly listed as Rowley Fold) - II

Farmhouse, said to be 1780. Coursed and squared sandstone, slate roof- with two chimneys at each gable. Double pile plan 2 rooms x 2 rooms. Two storeys, symmetrical, rusticated quoins to front wall, doorcase of Tuscan columns with open pediment and fanlight with radiating glazing bars, 5 windows, sashed with glazing bars in plain stone case. Left gable has blocked attic window in apex. Rear has central stairlight window of 3 vertically arranged openings, the top now blocked, three large 3-light stone flush-mullion windows, and 2 doors. Interior: dogleg staircase with open string, scrolled brackets, ramped handrail, stick balusters.
