Description

No. 16 Rochdale Road is a cottage dating from around 1800, which has been converted into a house. It is constructed from watershot coursed sandstone blocks and features a stone slate roof with a chimney stack located at the junction with No. 20 to the right. The building has a double depth plan and consists of one bay. It stands three storeys high, with a vertical joint between this property and No. 20 only at the ground floor; the coursing of the masonry is continuous above this level. There is a doorway with a plain surround to the right, one window at the ground floor, and two windows on each floor above, all of which have stepped triple lights.
