This 19th-century horse shelter, located approximately 100 metres north-northwest of Ellenthorpe Farmhouse, is designed for race horses. It is constructed from rubble and features a slate roof with stone ridges. The shelter has an octagonal shape, with two walls that intersect at right angles, supported by intermediate round rubble piers.
