Description
This sheep shelter, located approximately 200 metres west of the junction with the track to Ranah Stones Farm, is likely from the mid to late 19th century and has had some repairs in the 20th century. It is constructed from roughly-coursed rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a square plan with diagonal walls that radiate from a small square central chamber, which is accessed from the north side. There are two brick piers on each side that support the eaves. The west side has been walled up, and entry is now from the south. The shelter has a pyramidal roof, although slates are missing from the west side. Inside, there is a small flue built into the south-east corner. This is an unusual type of agricultural building.
