Description
This cattle shelter, located approximately 150 metres south-west of the junction with the track to Hazlehead Hall, is likely from the mid to late 19th century and has undergone some repairs in the 20th century. It is constructed from squared, coursed rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a square plan with diagonal walls that radiate from a small square central chamber, which is accessed from the north side. On each side, there are two monolithic stone posts that support the eaves of the pyramidal roof. This structure represents an unusual type of agricultural building.
