Description
Woods Heys Farmhouse and the attached barn is a late 18th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed of sandstone random rubble, featuring a facade of watershot coursed squared sandstone with quoins, and has a slate roof with brick chimneys. The building has a double-depth, two-bay plan with small extensions at the left end and at the rear. It stands two storeys high with a garret and has a symmetrical design with gable chimneys. The central door is accompanied by a modern glazed porch, and there are two 4-pane sash windows on each floor, along with moulded gutter brackets. The left gable includes an attic window and a single-storey extension with a gable chimney. The rear of the farmhouse has a single-storey extension with various windows, including a segmental-headed stairlight and a 3-light window with wooden mullions above it. The three-bay barn, which is at a lower level to the right, features a large segmental-headed wagon entrance next to the house and a doorway at the right end.
