Description
Goosnargh (Oliverson's) Church of England School, dated 1839 on the south gable, is a single-storey school building with a rectangular plan, constructed from punched ashlar and topped with a slate roof. The building features small pinnacles at the apex and ends of the coping on both gables. On the east side, there is a moulded doorway offset to the right, accompanied by three large vertical rectangular windows to the left and one to the right, all of which have altered glazing. The plain parapet adds to the overall design. The south gable showcases a similar but larger window with a moulded surround. Above this window, set within a moulded frame, is a stone tablet that reads:
"ERECTED AT THE EXPENSE OF R. OLIVERSON ESQ OF LONDON AND FORMERLY OF THIS PARISH MDCCCXXXIX."
Modern additions to the rear of the building are not considered to be of special interest.
