Description

The Foulridge War Memorial is made of sandstone and features a wheel-head cross on a slender tapering shaft. The cross stands atop a square plinth, which is set on a four-stepped base. The stone used for the memorial was sourced from Salterforth Quarries.

The plinth is inscribed with incised painted lettering. The main dedication states: "TO THE MEMORY/ OF OUR MEN/ 1914 – 1918/ 1939 – 1945." The other sides of the plinth bear the names of those who fell in the wars.
