Description

Bellhill Farmhouse is a house that possibly dates from the early 18th century, with some remains from the 17th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows are mullioned, with rebate and chamfer details; those on the ground floor have hoods. On the left side, there is a window with three lights, and on the right, a window with four lights that includes a king mullion. The first floor has windows with two lights, with the left-hand and central windows having incomplete hoods. The central bay contains a door with a moulded surround and a battlemented lintel that is inscribed with 'IF 1684'. The gables are topped with chimneys and copings that have kneelers. At the rear of the house, there are rebated and chamfered window surrounds without mullions, a drip course made of undressed stone, and a doorway with a moulded surround.
