Description
Old Church House, originally a Church of England chapel built in 1752, is situated on Littledale Road in Caton-with-Littledale. The building is constructed from sandstone rubble with a stone slate roof. It is a one-story structure with a cellar, comprising two bays. The windows are characterised by two round-headed lights, set within stone surrounds featuring moulded imposts and flattened arches, all filled with rectangular leaded panes. The central bay has a similar window arrangement above a door surround with a cyma moulding, accessed by five external stone steps. Gables feature copings and kneelers. The east gable includes a window matching those on the south facade. The west wall contains two two-light windows with chamfered surrounds and square mullions at cellar level, with a door featuring a cyma-moulded surround between them. A modern one-light chamfered window sits above the door, and a stone bellcote is located at the apex of the wall. A modern door and two windows are positioned at the rear of the building.
