Description

This is a 19th-century milestone made of sandstone, featuring a triangular plan with a sloping top. The top is inscribed with the word 'CATON'. The left side has the inscription 'TO LANCASTER 5 MILES', while the right side reads 'TO HORNBY 4 MILES. Ky LONSDALE 11½ MILES. INGLETON ---.'
