Description
Nos. 45 and 47 on Main Street is a house, now divided into two flats, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and has a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and originally consisted of three bays. The windows feature stone surrounds with a slight chamfer and flat-faced mullions. The ground floor windows have three lights, while the first-floor windows have two lights. All windows have glazing bars, except for the left-hand lights of the first-floor windows in the first and second bays. One light in each window is sashed. The central bay contains a door with a chamfered stone surround. To the left, there is an added bay that has a ground-floor window similar to the others and a first-floor window with plain reveals, both of which also have glazing bars. There are chimneys on each side of the original house. Inside, the right-hand room features a shouldered stone fireplace.
