Description

These are a pair of houses, likely dating from the 18th century, and significantly altered in the mid to late 19th century. They have a stone slate roof hidden behind an embattled parapet. The front facade is scored render, with windows and doors set within plain stone surrounds.

No. 41, on the left, has two bays. Its ground-floor window on the left has two tall lights separated by a flat-faced mullion. To the right of the front door, which is in the second bay, is a single ground-floor window. The first-floor windows are aligned by a sill band. No. 43, to the right, also has two bays and a ground-floor window with two tall lights separated by a flat-faced mullion. The sills of the first-floor windows interrupt a horizontal band. The doorway, set between the bays, has a keystone inscribed with the initials 'TEI 1724'. Chimneys are located on the gable ends and between the two houses.

The rear of No. 41 features flush chamfered mullioned windows and a re-used 17th-century lintel.
