Description
Harterback Farmhouse and the adjoining farm store to the east are mid-to-late 18th century buildings that were formerly two houses. They are constructed of sandstone rubble, featuring a slate roof at the front and a stone slate roof at the rear. Each building has a similar facade, although the store appears to have been added to the existing farmhouse. Both structures are two bays wide and have 3-light windows with flat-faced mullions and slightly chamfered surrounds. Between the bays, there is a door with a plain stone surround. The farmhouse, located on the right, includes an open stone porch with a flat flagstone top. There are chimneys on the gables and between the house and the store. At the rear, the farmhouse features a stair window with three flat-faced transoms. The store has a stair window with three lights, along with additional lights above and below the center light, forming a cross shape. The rear roof has copings with kneelers. Inside the store, there are two visible stone fireplaces, with the front fireplace featuring a moulded mantel.
