Description
This barn, located on the north side of the farmyard, was built in 1761. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has a stone slate roof. The south wall features a window on the left with plain reveals, which is set within a blocked threshing door. To the right of this, there is a pitching hole situated under the eaves, followed by a door with plain reveals. Above this door, there is a plaque inscribed with 'WEA 1761'. Further to the right is a wide doorway that has an external sliding door. The left-hand (west) gable has been rebuilt after it collapsed and now includes two windows with plain reveals. The rear wall is mostly obscured by lean-to additions, but it retains a blocked wide barn entrance with a segmental head, which now contains a smaller door and a window. Inside, the barn features trusses with tie beams and light collars, and much of the timber used is re-used from a cruck building.
