Description
Leyland Farmhouse is a house built in 1756, constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with two original bays. The facade is partly obscured by a single-storey glass conservatory. The windows feature stone surrounds with a slight chamfer and flat-faced mullions, with three lights on the left side and two on the right. A central window on the first floor has plain reveals. The door, located between the bays, is framed by a stone surround with edge roll moulding. There are chimneys on the gables and to the right of the door, along with coped gables. A 20th-century porch is attached to the right-hand gable wall, which includes a re-set plaque that was moved from the front of the house, inscribed with 'CBM 1756'.
