Description
A pair of houses dating to around 1840, located on Middle Street in Lancaster. The houses are constructed of sandstone ashlar with slate roofs, and extend over a cellar. Each house features two bays with a central doorway. The windows are modern 12-pane sash windows set in plain reveals. The doorways have deep, plain reveals, a simple cornice, and doors with six raised and fielded panels. Chamfered quoins on the right side of the building are part of a neighbouring block constructed in 1983. The houses were built at the same time as numbers 1 to 9 High Street.
