Description

This barn, located approximately 20 metres east of Bogburn Hall, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed from coursed sandstone with a stone slate roof and features a rectangular plan with four bays. An attached stable is situated at the left end, and there is an outshut at the front of the first bay that has been converted into a garage. The barn has opposed wagon doors in the second bay, three doors in the right gable wall (with the outer doors blocked), an inserted ground floor window, and a square opening at the first floor. The rear wall of the first bay is made of brick. The roof structure is typical for its period, featuring tie beams, principals, and raking struts.
