Description

Old Seven Stars Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with later additions, located on Stars Brow in Standish-with-Langtree. The building features dressed stone and brick construction with stone slate roofs. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the end bays having gabled roofs and the second bay being one storey at the front. The first bay is likely the original part, made of stone with a moulded base. The second bay has a stone left side and brick on a stone base to the right, while the third bay is entirely brick on a stone base.

The ground floor includes casement windows in the first and third bays, while the second bay has a single-bar sash window. On the first floor, there is a sashed window with glazing bars in the first bay and a horizontally sliding sash in the third bay. The entrance, located in the second bay, features a flat arch. The farmhouse has a left gable-end stack and a cross-axial stack. The left return of the building has a blocked entrance, two casement windows, and a horizontally sliding sash. At the rear, there is a wing to the right with a blocked two-light brick-mullioned window on the first floor.

Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered beams, and the staircase features a close string with turned balusters and square newels.
