Description
This is a barn with a shippon located about 20 meters south of Eagle Tower Farmhouse, dated 1704 on the north gable and altered over time. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with quoins and has a slate roof. The building has a T-shaped plan, modified by later additions, featuring three bays with front and back outshuts at the north end, and additional outshuts extending further at the south end. The north gable wall includes three board doors in wooden surrounds with long and short jambstones, and the outer doors have rectangular stone lintels. In the center of the upper floor, there is a square datestone inscribed with the letter Y, and to the right, a small vertical rectangular window with a chamfered surround, marked I M 1703. There are wagon entrances in the center, with the west side now covered by an addition or alteration, while the other is under a carried-down roof. The interior has not been inspected.
