Description
This is a barn with attached shippons and a cart shed located to the south-east of Johnson's Farmhouse. The barn is dated 1664 and has undergone some alterations. It is constructed of coursed thin sandstone rubble and 19th-century red brick, with roofs made of slate and stone slate. The main structure is oriented on an east-west axis and faces north. It features a full-height waggon doorway in the center, a lean-to outshut on the left, and a window and doorway on the right, with a datestone above these elements inscribed "1664". The right-hand gable wall has been rebuilt in brick. Attached to the barn is a single-storey, four-bay shippon and cart shed with a stone slate roof. The rear of the barn has been covered by 20th-century additions. This building forms a group with Johnson's Farmhouse, which is located approximately 10 meters to the north-west.
