Description
This is a pair of cottages located on the west side of the lane opposite Johnson's Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble that has been painted white, and they feature a composition tile roof. The building has a rectangular three-unit plan that is positioned at right angles to the lane, facing south.
The cottages are two storeys high and have three windows. The ground floor has alternating windows and doorways, with the doorways being square-headed and having plain surrounds. The doorway on the right is covered by a 20th-century glazed porch. Both floors have three-light casement windows. Gable chimneys are present, and there are 20th-century additions to the rear. These cottages form a group with Johnson's Farmhouse, which is located on the opposite side of the lane.
