Description
Jack Green Fold Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dated 1721 on the lintel of a former doorway. It has been altered, and the former barn to the left is now incorporated into the house. The building is made of coursed squared sandstone with quoins and has a slate roof. It features a two-bay end-baffle-entry plan and is two storeys high. The former doorway at the left end, which is next to a modern porch leading into the altered barn, has been changed into a 3-light chamfered mullion window, with the lintel inscribed in relief with "EP WP 1721." To the right on the ground floor, there are two 3-light chamfered mullion windows with straight dripstones. On the first floor, there is a similar 3-light window to the right and an altered horizontal rectangular window to the left. The rear of the farmhouse has chamfered mullion windows with 3 and 4 lights at the ground floor, also with straight dripstones, and two 3-light casements above. The interior has not been inspected, and the altered barn at the left end is not included in this listing.
