Description

Heskins Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, dated 1715 on the lintel of the door and has undergone alterations. It is constructed from watershot coursed squared sandstone with quoins, and features a roof made of stone slate at the front and slate at the rear, along with brick gable chimneys. The building has a two-bay end-baffle-entry plan and includes a lean-to addition at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has a chamfered plinth. The doorway is located at the left end and features a large rectangular lintel with raised lettering that reads "WF/ 1715." There are two windows on each floor to the right of the doorway, all of which are vertical rectangular with altered glazing. The ground floor windows have large rectangular lintels, and the left-hand window is wider than the others. The left gable wall has a blocked inserted doorway and a 4-pane window to the rear of this, while the right gable wall has a similar window. The rear of the building has a continuous lean-to outshut and shows remains of blocked windows in the wall above. The interior has not been inspected.
