Description
The game larder, located approximately 30 metres west of Gawthorpe Hall on the north side of the path to the Great Barn, is likely from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from sandstone blocks and features a stone slate roof. This small, rectangular, single-storey building has its gable facing the path and includes large vertical rectangular breathers along with a simple doorway in the gable wall. Inside, there is an inner enclosure with a narrow passage between it and the outer wall.
