Description
The former game larder, now used as a store, is located immediately to the north of Orton Hall. It dates from around 1835 and is constructed of squared and coursed limestone and brick, featuring ashlar dressings and quoins. The building has a pyramidal stone slate roof topped with a louvred lantern that has a pyramidal lead roof. It is a single-storey structure with a one-bay elevation. The doorway is set within a segmental-arched stone architrave at the splayed south-east corner. The west elevation features a gablet above a Gothic-style round window, which has an elongated quatrefoil shape with mouchettes in the spandrels.
