The Leeds and Liverpool Canal boundary marker is located above Gannow Tunnel, along a former footpath over the canal tunnel. This marker dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of stone, featuring a slab post with a rounded head. It is inscribed with 'LLC', which stands for Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The Gannow Tunnel itself was constructed between 1795 and 1801.
