Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres north of Holden Farmhouse, is likely from the 17th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a damaged stone slate roof. The barn consists of five bays, with front and rear outshuts at the southeast end, all under a carried down roof. There is a wagon entrance in the center of the south side, which is recessed between larger outshuts that may have been added later. Each end of the barn has a doorway with a chamfered surround, and there is a similar doorway at the rear, opposite the left end, which is now blocked. The rear wagon doorway is also mostly blocked.
