Description
Worthington Hall is a farmhouse dated 1577 with later additions. It is constructed of stone, plastered at the front, and has a slate roof. One bay of the front features exposed timber framing. The building has two storeys and four irregular bays, with the second bay showcasing timber framing and decorative panels. The first floor jetties out, supported by a bressummer that features trailing leaf decoration. The windows are casements, with the last two bays having segmental heads. The entrance is located in a gabled porch with a Tudor-style head, enriched spandrels, and a lintel inscribed with "EO EDWARDE WORTHINGTON 1577/MO". The house has a cross-axial stack with two diagonal shafts and a gable-end stack. The rear displays exposed stone with quoins.
Inside, there are two fireplaces; one is large with a bressummer but is now blocked by a partition. The attic contains timber trusses and wattle and daub infill panels, along with a small fireplace.
