Description
The coach house and stables, now used for storage, date from the 18th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and a stone base, topped with a concrete tile roof. The building features 11 bays, with the end bays being lower than the others. The 3rd, 5th, and 9th bays contain two-light flat-mullioned windows. The 6th and 7th bays have large elliptical-headed entrances with stone surrounds and keys, above which is an armorial bearing with a label mould; there are five bull's eye windows above, with the central one being keyed. The 2nd, 4th, 8th, and 10th bays also have entrances with stone surrounds; the 4th and 8th bays feature old doors with strap hinges, wide boards, and studs. The 1st bay has a blocked elliptical-headed entrance to the return, while the 11th bay has a 20th-century window and a pointed recess to the return, which includes a small-paned Tudor-headed window and a mounting block. The rear of the building is made of stone. Inside, there is one king post truss with hewn members.
