Description

This is a bridge over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, built in the 1790s for the Lancaster Canal's south branch, designed by engineer John Rennie. The bridge is constructed of stone and features an elliptical arch with a triple keystone, a raised band, and a parapet. There is a squinch at the western end.
