Description
Ashton Road Farmhouse is a farmhouse that appears to date from the late 18th century, with the inscription "HH 1704" on a tablet above the door. It is built of English garden wall bond brick and features a graduated stone slate roof, which has been covered with asphalt. The house has a central entrance and is two stories tall, with two bays and an additional bay on the left, along with extensions at the rear. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with a flat hood above it and a datestone. There are two three-light casement windows on each floor, each with stone sills and segmental brick heads. The farmhouse has gable chimney stacks and rendered sides and rear. Inside, there are ovolo-moulded beams and a staircase with a closed string, turned balusters, and panelled newels.
