GOLBORNE ASHTON ROAD SJ 59 NE (north side) 4/9 Ashton Road Farmhouse 15/11/66 (formerly listed as Ashton Road Farmhouse (Edge Green Farm) II Farmhouse. "HH 1704" on tablet above door but appearing to date from the late C18. English garden wallbond brick with graduated stone slate roof which has been asphalted over. 2- bay 2-storey central-entrance house with additional bay to left and additions to rear. Central 4-panel door with flat hood and datestone above. Two 3-light casement windows to each floor with stone sills and segmental brick heads. Gable chimney stacks. Rendered sides and rear. Interior: ovolo- moulded beams and staircase with closed string, turned balusters and panelled newels.
