Includes: No.2 THE WIEND. Town house, now shop and offices. Probably mid C18; much altered. Rendered brick, slate roof. Narrow rectangular plan at right-angles to street, on corner of The Weind. 3 and a half storeys, 2 windows; ground floor replaced by C20 shop; upper floors have quoins to right, sillbands to all floors, and 2 windows on each floor, all with moulded architraves and all sashed without glazing bars, and those at top floor square. Return elevation to The Wiend with 3-light mullioned and transomed windows, two retaining Yorkshire sashes to lower parts. Upper floors only partly occupied at the time of the survey. Upper floor of No.2 The Wiend has taking-in door with 2 massive stone landing board supports. INTERIOR not inspected. Forms group with Nos 4 to 14 The Weind (qv).
