SD50SE CHAPEL LANE 24-1/5/5 (North side) No.146 Cottage adjoining Henhurst Lock, with attached stable to rear

Cottage with attached stable. Probably early to mid C19; altered and restored. Coursed sandstone rubble, composition tile roof with brick chimneys. Rectangular plan parallel to canal, with lean-to addition to rear. 2 storeys, 2+2 windows; square-headed doorway offset left with plain surround and single-light window above this, flanked by 2-light sashes with plain surrounds; similar doorway to right, and large canted oriel window above and slightly to the right of this. Gable chimney to left; ridge chimney offset right. INTERIOR not inspected.
