Description
Entwistle Hall Cottage is an 18th-century cottage built from watershot coursed sandstone, topped with a slate roof featuring gable chimneys. The cottage has a double-pile, 2-bay plan and stands two storeys tall. The original front faces south and includes a board door in a plain surround, which is slightly offset to the left of centre. To the left of the door is a 5-light flush mullion window, and to the right is a 3-light casement window. On the first floor, there are two flush mullion windows with 5 and 3 lights, although the 5-light window has two lights blocked.
At the rear, there is an opposed door and two modern 2-light casements on each floor. To the left of the upper left window, there are two blocked mullioned lights, and a small square window is located to the left of the ground floor. The west gable wall features a window at ground floor level and a blocked doorway on the first floor.
