Description

The double flight of steps located to the west of the Pavilion in Mesnes Park, Wigan, was likely built around 1880. Constructed from sandstone ashlar, the wide steps ascend in two flights, with an intermediate terrace in between. The steps are flanked by low side walls that feature moulded coping. This structure is part of a group that includes the Pavilion and is included for its group value.
