Description

The Orrell Post, located outside the Stag Inn on Orrell Road, dates from the 17th or 18th century. It features a plain square plinth and a Tuscan column that has entasis and a rusticated band. The top of the post is adorned with a square cap and a ball finial. Notably, a post at this location was recorded as existing in 1607.
