Description
Manor House is a house located on Clough Lane in Saddleworth, built in 1744, as indicated by a stone inscription. The property features a late 18th-century rear wing and has undergone alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and has a graduated stone slate roof. The house is two stories tall with two bays and includes a two-story wing at the back. Notable architectural details include quoins, five and four-light recessed chamfered stone mullion windows on the ground floor, and two four-light mullion and transom windows on the first floor, which date from the 19th century. The dressings on the main wing have a tooled finish, and there are gable chimney stacks. The rear wing partially obscures a three-light double-chamfered stone mullion window, and there is a door in the gable with a dressed chamfered surround. The wing features three, four, and six-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows, along with an additional structure that is now used as a garage.
