Description

Throstle's Nest is a water-powered scribbling and spinning mill, dating to 1791, originally built for Henry Buckley. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a slate roof. It comprises three storeys, with a 20th-century lean-to addition to the left and rear, and a two-storey 20th-century addition to the right. The front facade features six-light, flat-faced stone mullion windows on the ground and first floors, and two three-light windows on the second floor. A blocked doorway is situated on the left side. Various two and three-light windows are present on the sides and rear elevations. A corner chimney stack is a prominent feature.
