Description
The Brun is a house dating to 1790, as indicated by an inscription on the lintel. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a slate roof. The house originally comprised a single-depth, three-bay design, with 20th-century extensions to the right and rear. It features quoins and a projecting plinth. The central doorway has a square-cut surround. The ground floor has four-light and three-light windows on either side of the door, while the first floor has four, two, and three-light windows. The first-floor windows feature flat-faced mullions, recessed on the ground floor. Gable-end chimney stacks are present. A dated lintel to the left-gable window formerly served as a doorway. Inside, an original stone fire surround remains.
