Description
Hillcot is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. Notable architectural details include quoins, heightened eaves, and ridge chimney stacks. The front of the house has 20th-century doors and windows. The left gable displays a dressed door surround and two 2-light windows on the ground floor. At the rear, there are a 4-light and a 2-light window on the ground floor, along with a 4-light window on the first floor, all featuring double-chamfered mullions that have been rendered over in the 20th century. Additionally, there is a 3-light recessed flat-faced mullion window and a later ground floor window. The building is included for its group value.
