Description

Pine House is a house built around 1840, located in Didsbury Park, Manchester. It features white-painted stucco on brick and has a slate roof. The building is designed in the Gothick style and has an L-shaped plan. It stands two storeys tall with a three-window facade and a slightly projecting gabled left wing. The central entrance is a four-centred arched doorway, accessed by three steps, and has a chamfered surround, a plain fanlight, and a hoodmould above it. To the left, there is a canted bay window on the ground floor, with a two-light window above and a very small lancet window in the apex. There is also a single-light window over the door and one two-light casement window on each floor to the right. All these windows, except for the lancet, are now top-hung casements with glazing bars, and all except the bay window have hoodmoulds. The eaves are projected and feature open-work bargeboards. The rear and interior of the house have not been inspected.
