Description
The Glebe House is a house built around 1800 in the "Gothick" style. It features colour-washed stucco over brick with slate roofs that are obscured by a crenellated parapet and rendered end stacks. The house is two storeys high and has a wooden cornice band above the first floor. It has five bays, with the outer bays recessed and fitted with glazing bar sash windows. The first floor windows are covered by a lead tent roof and have a thin iron balcony across the outer bays. The central three windows are tripartite, featuring a tall, pointed-arched centre sash with "Gothick" glazing bars and lower casement side lights. To the right of the centre is a half-glazed panelled door set in a panelled reveal, which has tracery in the fanlight above and a circular lead tent roof porch supported by two thin metal pillars with plain lotus-type capitals. The right-hand return front has a balcony across the first floor, and the rear has a tall central first floor window. Inside, some fanlights over doors and some stone fireplaces remain.
