Description
Ivy House is a house built around 1840 in the Gothick style. It is constructed of brick painted white and features a graded grey slate hipped roof. The building is symmetrical, with two storeys and three windows, along with a small one-storey, one-room wing to the left.
The front has a plain, projecting porch made of brick with a basket arch, which contains a late 20th-century door. On either side of the door, there are three-light cast iron lattice-paned casements on both storeys, and above the porch, there is a similar two-light casement. All the casements have rectangular margin-panes in each light.
At the rear slope of the roof, there are two symmetrically placed brick chimneys. The left wing features two cast iron lattice casements, one with one light and the other with two lights. Near the corner of this wing, there is a late 20th-century standard timber casement, and a tall single-flue chimney is located on the gable.
