2/16 Church House Farmhouse
GV II Also known as Church Farmhouse. Former farmhouse, early C17, much altered. Pebbledashed, probably largely over oak frame; concrete tile roof (formerly of stone slates). Of 2 storeys and 2 windows with central door. Windows and door renewed in original openings. Large projecting gable chimney, left; longitudinal chimney flush with gable, right. The roof is double-pile, the rear pile slated. Interior: The right front parlour has 2 ovolo beams (also crossing the later-formed hall) and an ingle-nook with small fire-window, fixed (probably early C17) settles of oak and mid C18 oak panelling. Left front room has door of 6 raised panels and open stone fireplace with chamfered sides. One altered beam in rear right room. Altered stair. The right front bedroom has open stone fireplace with chamfered sides (over ingle-nook in lower storey) with a closet or prayer-room to each side with oak-framed walls. Some oak-framed internal walls. Wide-boarded doors.
