Description

The former stable block to the west of Wythenshawe Hall is a stable block that has been converted to stores and other uses. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is constructed of red brick with slate roofs. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with north and east ranges that enclose a courtyard. It is two storeys high. The east range features a central gable with a clock and bell-turret, semi-circular windows on the ground floor, and circular windows on the first floor. The north range is similar in design but has altered openings. This stable block is part of a group that includes Wythenshawe Hall.
